The 2010 Golden Globes
Awards season kicked-of with the 2010 Golden Globes. We've been watching, not so adoring cause' lets face it… we always expect more from tinsel town's brightest stars. Here's what we have to say:
The Hit (& miss) list:
Sandra Bullock was wearing a dreadful dress by Bottega Veneta; the color was wrong for her, the dress looked floppy, and the fabric should be illegal for use…
Sorry Sandra, we expected more from you… Oh well, you can still surprise us in the Oscars, We Will be watching!
The beautiful Marion Cotillard looked polished in a rich emerald Christian Dior lingerie-inspired dress from their Spring/Summer '10 collection together with Chopard jewelry & a Roger Vivier clutch.
Kate Winslet, in Yves Saint Laurent looked beautiful & elegant as ever, she knows exactly what is flattering for her figure & her choices are made accordingly… a bit boring, on the 'safe side' & predictable but works for her every time.
Helen Mirren wore a great black dress by Armani Privé that complimented her figure, revealing a nicely shaped body & a good-old glam.
Pretty woman Julia Roberts, in a vintage little black Yves Saint Laurent dress that she upgraded with some Van Cleef & Arpels jewels; a good choice if you're going to a Hollywood premiere or a flashy event, but we expected more for the Golden Globe…but we still love you Julia!
Cameron Diaz, you were wearing a cranberry colored Alexander McQueen gown, Van Cleef & Arpels jewels, you have the makeup to match and you choose to wow us with a 'Beverly Hilton' umbrella…sure the color match and you weren’t going for the soggy look… but still…
Cutie Kate Hudson in a white Marchesa dress with an overly wide geometric cleavage, Kate wrapped in all that white (dress, clutch, shoes…) folded dress… made her look small and hefty…sorry Kate, usually we love your bohemian chic.
Julianne, ho Julianne… when you are Tom Ford's muse, we expect more then just a boring gray Balenciaga dress… come on! You are a muse, Tom Ford's muse! Carry it out, we would surely would…
The ever classy Diane Kruger, looking beautiful in a wavy, water-colored pink Christian Lacroix Haute Couture with Chanel Fine Jewelry jewels and a Raven Kauffman clutch; Love it, love her, love Christian Lacroix (hoping to see his couture & R-T-W collections in the upcoming Fall/Winter Fashion weeks)
